Cemetery and Lists of the RHSJ, Bathurst, N.B.

The cemetery of the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph in Bathurst is located in Vallée-Lourdes, close to the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. It opened in 1944 and the Sisters buried there were mostly from Bathurst region, and now from the Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption House, in Batrhurst, N.B.

The first sister buried there was Clarisse Comeau, who died on March 7, 1944¸ at the age of 62. Two priests are also buried in the RHSJ cemetery: Msgr. Alfred J. Trudel, who died in 1951, and Father Alfred Levesque, in 1963.
