Surgery at Hôtel-Dieu of Saint-Basile in 1906 (ph_3532)

From left to right, Father A. Launière, Mother Superior Richer (Eugénie Prud’homme), Dr. Desjardins (oculist), the pharmacist Sister Maillet (Alphonsine Ranger), Dr. Adolphe Guy, chief hospitaller Sr. Saint-Louis (Marie Martin), Dr Leprohon (otorhinolaryngologist) and in the front, Dr. P.H. Laporte, surgeon. This photo was taken on August 30, 1906, in the operating room of wooden hospital (see photo ph_4088), where the sick were admitted from 1881 to 1915. That year, the hospital will move into the first brick building.
