J. Enoïl Michaud (1888-1967) (ph_2508)

Son of Joseph Michaud and Eugénie Bernier of Edmundston, Enoïl was born in Saint-Antonin, Quebec. He was a student at the Academy of Saint-Basile from 1899 to 1901. In 1914, he married Nélida Ringuette of Saint-Basile. He had a full life and, among others, he was a Member of Parliament, Mayor of Edmundston, Minister of Transport in Ottawa and Chief Judge of the Queen’s bench in New Brunswick. In 1958, he was named Chevalier de Saint-Grégoire le Grand by Pope Pius X11. Photo Harvey Studios, Fredericton, N.B.
