Daughter of Lévite Lavoie and Alice Clavette of Rivière-Verte, Anna was a boarding school student at the Hôtel-Dieu Academy in Saint-Basile around 1923 and 1924. She obtained her teaching diploma from Normal School, Fredericton in 1925. Anna taught for fourteen years in Drummond, Rivière-Verte and Siegas. In 1941, she married Maurice Perron, a garage owner from Saint-Quentin. They adopted two little girls who were sisters. Anna was the first manager of the Saint-Quentin Caisse populaire, in 1942. In 1973, her thirty-one years of service were celebrated by the Federation of the Caisses populaires acadiennes. In 1947, Anna opened a small printing business in her house. She was the niece of Sisters Lavoie and Guérin and godchild to the latter.
