Madawaskayans at College of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière in 1900 (ph_3621)

From left to right, Louis Pelletier, Thomas Albert, Éloi O. Martin and Théodule Nadeau at Sainte-Anne in 1900. Thomas Albert of Saint-Hilaire received the Prince of Wales medal in 1900. Éloi and Théodule were former students of Hôtel-Dieu Academy in Saint-Basile. In order to prepare the boys for classical studies, the Saint-Louis boarding school of Saint-Basile offered them a curriculum including Latin and more French classes. This seventh grade justifies the title ofMsgr. Dugal’s Petit Collège often given to the boys boarding school.
