Bazaar in front of the hospital in Saint-Basile (ph_54)

With the help of volunteers, the Sisters organized the first bazaar in 1879. Usually, it lasted two days and the profits went to the orphanage and the hospital. Around 1920, the bazaar could generate a profit ranging between 1500 $ and 2000 $, including the donations from the parishes collected by the tourières or extern Sisters. Refreshments were sold in the little pavilion called the berceau (cradle).
