Three Godbout Sisters (ph_2501)

From left to right, Sister Véronique Godbout known as Saint-Paul (1913-2012), Sister Alix Godbout (1900-1993) and Sister Adrienne Godbout known as Saint-Stanislas (1911-2006). They were the daughters of Paul Godbout and Paméla Plourde from Drummond, New Brunswick. The photo was taken in 1933. At the time, Véronique had just entered the convent and was still a postulant. Alix was already a professed sister, but Adrienne had the white veil of the novice. All three had a teaching licence from Normal School in Fredericton and were excellent teachers. Sister Alix Godbout entered in 1921 and taught the boys for a long time. She was Superior once, but she worked at the accounting office.
