Sister Laurette Lachance died on February 17, 1951 at the age of forty-nine. As it was the custom, she was exposed in an open wooden casket, on the Sisters’ side of the convent chapel. In the choir pews, from left to right, Sisters Alix Godbout, Anne-Marie Dionne, St-Alphonse (Mélina Lavoie), Patricia Ouellette, Euphémie Soucy, Desjardins (Anna Cyr), ?, Lorraine B. Martin, Cécile Azard and Alda Boulay.
