Sister Rhéa Larose (1899-1979) (ph_3628)

Sister Larose taught at the Hôtel-Dieu Academy and was Principal, before becoming founder and director of College Maillet. Gifted in the arts and creative writing, she staged theatre plays and wrote poetry. Sister Larose liked the students and promoted cultural and musical activities. Sister Larose fought for the survival of College Maillet which she held dear to her heart. Photo taken when she took her religious vows in 1928.
