Sister Maria Albert (1897-1995) (ph_3640)

Born in Saint-Hilaire of Madawaska, Maria worked as a nurse at the hospital in Clair before entering the noviciate of Saint-Basile in 1927. Afterwards, she obtained a diploma in Nursing from Laval University in 1935. She was chief Hospitaller in Saint-Basile and then in Van Buren. She went to Portland for formation in surgery techniques. Sister Albert was a niece of Sister Ernestine Dumont and had a brother Camille who was a priest.
