Three Morneault Sisters (ph_212)

From left to right, Joséphine Morneault known as Sister St-Charles, her sister Lucie Morneault, and their cousin Régina Morneault known as Sister St-Vincent. These three Sisters, who started by being teachers, made a tangible contribution to the progress of health care in North-West New-Brunswick. Sister Lucie Morneault was Superior when the community of Saint-Basile undertook the foundations of a Sanatorium in Saint-Basile and the Hôtel-Dieu in Edmundston. Sister Saint-Charles founded the Saint-Basile School of nursing. Sister Saint-Vincent was devoted to the sick, specially the dying.
