Wilfrid Cyr (1893-1987) (ph_379)

Son of Jérôme and Euphémie Soucy, Wilfrid was born in Saint-Basile and went to the Hôtel-Dieu Academy from 1906 to 1908. He studied theology in Halifax and was ordained priest there in 1917. He passed some twenty years at the Trappist’s Monastery in Oka and Mistassini. He then returned to the diocese of Edmundston and did priestly ministry. Later he retired at Hôtel-Dieu in Saint-Basile and maintained his interests in psychoanalysis and graphoanalysis.
