Saint-Basile Church destroyed by fire (ph_3610)

Built in 1856, the wooden church was totally destroyed by fire on October 22, 1932. The sacred vessels, the sacerdotal ornaments and some statues were saved. The brothers Georges, Benoît and Albert, sons of Théodule Martin, climbed to the steeple and succeeded in taking down the three bells.
