Patient’s room at Hôtel-Dieu around 1920 (ph_1305)

Over and above the twelve patients wards, each department of the hospital had private rooms. In 1920, a patient in a private room would be charge one dollar per day. By comparison, at that time, a room at Hotel Mercure of Saint-Basile was 50 cents per day and a meal was 35 cents.
