The medical laboratory of Hôtel-Dieu in Saint-Basile was renovated in September 1932, when Sister Berthe Boucher received her diploma in Laboratory techniques in Montreal. There was always a well equipped pharmacy at Hôtel-Dieu, and until 1915, the pharmacist accompanied the doctor for his visits in the wards. Around 1930, Sister Desjardins (Anna Cyr) took the required formation to insure this service in a modern way.
