Antoine Comeau (1860-1934) (ph_4006)

Father Antoine Comeau was originally from Saint-Louis of Kent. His studies finished at Msgr. Richard’s College and the Grand Seminary in Montreal, he was ordained priest at Saint-Louis in 1887 by Bishop Rogers of Chatham. He was curate at Saint-Basile and then parish priest at Clair, Saint-Hilaire, Saint-Léonard-Parent and Saint-Léonard-Ville. He then spent six years at Saint-Ignace of Kent before returning to the Hôtel-Dieu of Saint-Basile. He died there in 1934 and was buried in the Sisters’ cemetery.
