Daughter of Charles Dugal and Vénérande D’Amour, Joséphine was born in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec. She was the sister of Father Félix Dugal. In 1920, she married Doctor E.A. Lagacé of Saint-Basile. Being widowed six years later, she went to live with her sister Héloïse in the boarders house that used to be Saint-Jean-de-Dieu. Like her sister, she died at Hôtel-Dieu and was buried in the Sisters’ cemetery. Photo Belle, Fraserville, around 1900.
