Founded on February 8, 1931, the Association of Ladies Auxiliaries had as their goal to hold activities whose profit would go to the orphanage and the hospital. They organized bean suppers and the Hospital Day on May 17, 1931. There were about 1000 visitors. The contest for the most beautiful baby was judged by Dr. Cyr and there was a blessing of about 100 cars placed in line by Horace St-Germain.
