Ladies auxiliaries of Hôtel-Dieu (ph_63)

Founded on February 8, 1931, the Association of Ladies Auxiliaries had as their goal to hold activities whose profit would go to the orphanage and the hospital. They organized bean suppers and the Hospital Day on May 17, 1931. There were about 1000 visitors. The contest for the most beautiful baby was judged by Dr. Cyr and there was a blessing of about 100 cars placed in line by Horace St-Germain. The Sisters are, from left to right, Sister Brissette (Marie-Anna Nadeau), Sister Guy (Délia Cyr) and Sister Anne-Marie Dionne. Mrs. Denis Daigle (Christine Bois) was the president, Mrs. Fred Smith, the vice-president, Mrs. Alfred Pelletier, secretary and Mrs. Arthur Hudon, the treasurer.
