Thérèse Bernard (ph_807)

Miss Bernard was the housekeeper of her brother Father Bernard, parish priest of St. David who died at Hôtel-Dieu in June of 1892. She then retired at Hôtel-Dieu and gave the sum of $1000 to the Sisters, who agreed to look after her for the rest of her life. This kind lady was of great help. The Chronicles relate that in 1896 and 1899 she went to St. Bruno (Van Buren) to collect money for the bazaars. She died in 1918.
