Damase Thibodeau (1904-1972) (ph_2306)

Son of Solyme Thibodeau and Thècle Martin, Damase was born in Rivière-Verte and was a boarder student from 1916 to 1918. He enrolled at Saint-Joseph College in Memramcook and at the Holy Heart Seminary in Halifax. Damase was ordained priest in Rivière-Verte in 1930. At first, he was Chaplain at the Sanatorium of Vallée-Lourdes, then at Hôtel-Dieu of Saint-Basile and finally at the Sanatorium in the same place. He died at the Foyer Saint-Joseph in Saint-Basile and was buried in the Sisters’ cemetery in Saint-Basile.
