Urbain Lang (1914-20..) (ph_2303)

Born in Clair, Urbain was the son of George W. Lang and Annie Lang. He was a boarder student at Academy of Hôtel-Dieu of Saint-Basile from 1925 to 1927. He studied at the College of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière, then at the Holy Heart Seminary in Halifax. Urbain was ordained priest in Chatham in 1938. Father Lang was the first Chaplain of the Sanatorium of Saint-Basile. He was also founder and parish priest of Connors, then Parish priest of Baker Lake and Drummond. After his retirement, he continued to be Chaplain at the Hospital and at the Manor of Grand Falls.
