Sister Eulalie Quesnel (1827-1903) (ph_3593)

Born in L’Acadie, parish of Lower Canada which is now Quebec, Eulalie was the daughter of a renowned doctor. In 1845, she entered the community of Montreal and in 1868, she was part of the group of sisters appointed at the lazaretto in Tracadie. Between 1874 and 1880 she was superior at Saint-Basile. After seven years there she returned to the Mother House in Montreal. Afterwards, Sister Quesnel and Sister Pagé established the Hôtel-Dieu at Arthabaskaville, Quebec.
