Odélie Gagné, known as Sister Pellerin (1877-1959) (ph_1426)

Odélie was born at Notre-Dame-du-Lac, in Québec, a short distance from the New Brunswick border. After teaching for a while, she entered the community of Saint Basile, where she had two aunts who were Sisters. She worked with the girls and boys boarders. She organized lovely performances that allowed the children to show their worth as actors and musicians. Photo taken in 1930.
