Born in Saint-Hilaire of Madawaska, Claude was the son of Honoré Cyr and Virginie Guy. He was a boarder at the Hôtel-Dieu Academy in Saint-Basile from 1888 to 1895. After, he studied at Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière College and at the Grand Seminary in Quebec. He was ordained a priest in Chatham by Bishop T. Barry in 1907. He was parish priest in Sainte-Anne de Madawaska from 1921 to 1940 and had a stone church built. He died in action at Saint-André in 1945. Photo around 1930.
