When this photo was taken in 1896, Régis Lavoie, father of Claudia and Modeste was fifty-two and their brother Dolphis was twenty-five. In 1870, Régis married Sophie Thériault (1847-1904), daughter of Rémi Thériault and Louise (Lisette) Cyr. In the order of their birth, his children were Adolphe nicknamed Dolphis (1871-1939), Frédéric (Fred), Lévite, Clovis, Laura, Irénée, Éveline (Lisette), Modeste and Claudia. Dolphis lived in Montana from 1889 until 1908. He then returned to Rivière-Verte, bought a farm and married Suzanne Doucette. Photo Hageman & Moore, Hamilton, Montana.
