It was not unusual in those times to have two or three girls from the same family enter Saint-Basile’s convent. Two sisters from Green River, Claudia and Modeste Lavoie, had been boarders at the Academy and were graduates from Fredericton Normal School. Both had some experience in teaching before they entered the noviciate, the first one in 1906 and the other in 1908. Since they left family photos well identified, it was quite easy to illustrate part of their life and family history. As for the three Godbout sisters from Drummond, Alix, Adrienne and Véronique had also been boarders in Saint-Basile and had their diploma from Normal School and some experience in teaching before becoming nuns in Saint-Basile. The eldest Alix entered in 1920 and the two others returned to their alma mater in 1932 and 1933.
