Laura Godbout (1905-1995) (ph_4058)

Laura was the fifth daughter of Paul Godbout and Paméla Plourde from Drummond. She studied at Saint-Basile boarding school in 1922 and 1923. She then enrolled at Normal School in Fredericton. After a few years of teaching, she married Adrien Daigle from Saint-Hilaire and they had six children: Roselle, Rhéo, Aldéo, Hermel, Ghislaine and Francine. Laura retired at Hôtel-Dieu in Saint-Basile near her sisters. She died in Saint-Basile and was buried in Saint-Hilaire. Photo as a graduate from Normal School in Fredericton, around 1925.
