From left to right, Sister Lavoie, Éveline (Lisette) and Sister Guérin in one of the classes of Hôtel-Dieu Academy. In the summer of 1916, Éveline came to visit her family in Madawaska. She lived near Missoula, Montana and was married to Fred Violette, a rich owner of a ranch with horses and hundreds of horned cattle. Sisters Guérin and Lavoie were both teachers and Éveline was the owner of a hairdressing salon.
