Adrienne Godbout (1911-2006) (ph_4060)

Ninth child of Paul Godbout and Paméla Plourde of Drummond, Adrienne came to the boarding school of Hôtel-Dieu in 1928 and 1929. She enrolled at Normal School in Fredericton and taught several years before entering the community of Saint-Basile in 1932. Adrienne then took the name Saint-Stanislas. She taught the girls and the boys for several years. In 1953, she became the mistress of the novices at Vallée-Lourdes near Bathurst. Because she enjoyed nature very much, she often led the young Sisters on outings in the fields and the woods in the vicinity. In 1964, she was named to Peru to work with the children of the lepers. Photo as a graduate from Normal School in 1930.
