Paul Godbout (1872-1948) and Paméla Plourde (1873-1932) (ph_4055)

Paul Godbout, farmer from Drummond, and his wife Paméla Plourde were the parents of the three Godbout Sisters, Alix, Adrienne (St-Stanislas) and Véronique (St-Paul), of Hôtel-Dieu in Saint-Basile. Paul and Paméla married in 1898 and had twelve children. Most of them studied at Saint-Basile Convent. The family was very close to Onésime’s, a brother of Paul, who had the misfortune of losing his wife Estelle, Paméla’s sister. These families were neighbours and the children, who were double-cousins, formed a large family. At least eight of Onésime’s children were boarders at the Academy of Hôtel-Dieu in Saint-Basile.
