Dressed in his Sunday best Lucien S. Beaulieu, a potato grower from Drummond, and Yvonne Lavoie, a teacher at Falls Brook take advantage of the good weather to explore Wells in Rocks located in the gorges of Grand Falls, a little lower than the falls. A path and two staircases allow access to a natural platform where you can see the Wells. There are five of them which vary from size and depth. Can also be seen at the top of the granite cliff, the Pulpit Rock, thus named because it looks like the pulpit in a church. Yvonne’s boyfriend proves his courtesy as he placed took off his jacket so that his fiancée can sit on in. There also was a lovers’ lane near the falls. Photo taken around 1925. Lent by the Beaulieu family.
