Thomas J. Lévesque (1892-1918) (am_2210)

Husband of Clara Dionne, Thomas was an immigration officer and the first owner of an automobile in Clair. Clara had studied in French at Fort Kent. They had three children: Laurente, Justin and Lucien. Thomas had caught the Spanish Flu on a trip to Edmundston and died on October 20, 1918. Clara, who was then a widow, married Wilfrid Pelletier and they had four children: Armand, Gilberte (wife of Ulric Bérubé), Hermance (Jean Desjardins) and Wilhelna. Wilfrid farmed his land and in the winter he was a cook in the lumber camps, sometimes in Maine or in the Plaster Rock region in New Brunswick. Photo around 1915.
