André Bérubé (1857-1920). (am_55)

Born in Rivière-Ouelle, Quebec, André Bérubé studied at Farnham, Québec, then at St. Boniface, Manitoba. He was ordained a priest at Campbellton in 1886 by Bishop Rogers. He founded the parish of Acadieville and lived there for seventeen years. He then became the fourth parish priest of Clair. Young Alfred and Ernest Lang studied with him before enrolling at Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pocatière College. In 1914, Father Bérubé became parish priest of Sainte-Anne of Madawaska, where he died suddenly.
